Steel Summit 2012

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Ministry of Steel and SAIL is proposing to organise the Steel Summit 2012 on 30 April 2012 in New Delhi. Shri Beni Prasad Verma, Minister of Steel, Government of India has kindly agreed to be the Chief Guest for this event. Mr P K Mishra, Secretary, Ministry of Steel has also been invited to address the summit.

This day-long summit will discuss and deliberate on key areas like demand and supply scenario, policy imperatives, global trends, raw material, consumption patterns, integrated logistics, technology and sustainability. The summit, a major international leadership forum is expected to have a participation of over 300 industry leaders including policy makers, large producers, secondary steel players and SMEs. The summit platform will be used by the Ministry of Steel to inform industry on the New Steel Policy and receive feedback from industry.
