Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre (IPFC), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), is conducting "IPTECH-2012", National Conference on the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights for E&IT sector: "Enabling Indian E&IT Industry, Institutions and MSME’s to leverage IP assets for Sustainable development" on 20th of April, 2012 from 0930 hrs to 1500 hrs at Indore.
IP awareness is less in MSME’s engaged in electronics and IT sector of India. A lot more understanding and exploration is required to cope with the changing nature of law pertaining to IP.
Though Indian SMEs are doing in-house innovation of softwares and IT tools to become competitive with the global world, SMEs have less awareness of various forms of protection available to secure their innovations. This conference aims to create awareness among entrepreneurs and professionals engaged in E&IT sector about Intellectual Property Rights.
Various topics like IPR Issues in Information and Communication Technology, IPR in E&IT sector for Business Excellence, Software patentability regime and India, Section 3(o) of Indian Patent Act, harmonization of patent regime among different countries etc will be discussed in the conference.
