OIFC Market Place at PBD 2010 (Press Release)

The Overseas Indian Facilitation Centre (OIFC), a public private partnership between the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), had organised its 4th interactive Market Place Forum at the 8th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, held from 7-9 January, this year, in New Delhi.
The Market Place Forum was a one-stop-shop for effective business networking, providing a host of facilities to the PBD delegates such as an exclusive opportunity to connect and engage with policy makers of the Government, key industry players, OIFC knowledge experts and other delegates participating at the annual Convention; a first-hand access to the OIFC interactive business portal, launched by the Hon’ble Prime Ministry of India, Dr Manmohan Singh during the PBD, opened for free online registrations, to become a part of the business network; a preview of Global INK online platform, set up for effective knowledge exchange between India and its diaspora; and information on the emerging business prospects, existing investment opportunities in India. Direct access to OIFC’s Investment Tool-kit, a stage-wise practical investment guide for global investors, Invest-in India publications and MOIA’s philanthropic guidebook, was provided to the diaspora through the Market Place.
