| The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) jointly with Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) is organising the "3rd CII-Nigeria India Business & Investment Forum" at multiple locations in India. Nigeria is a major source for India's imports of crude petroleum. During 2007-08, Nigeria was the fourth largest source (after Saudi Arabia, Iran, USA) for India's imports of petroleum crude, accounting for 9.4 per cent (US$ 7.5 billion) of India's global imports of crude petroleum (US$ 79.7 billion). Its location makes access to eastern and central African markets possible. India's exports to Nigeria are not concentrated on any particular sector/product, but cover all major commodity sections and include engineering goods, chemicals and allied products and transport equipment etc. |
