Drug Discovery and Development
Drug discovery research and development process is the key for pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry worldwide. It is a knowledge intensive, time consuming and cost intensive exercise. To cope with the rising costs of drug discovery and development, the big pharma and biotech companies are looking for low cost destinations to explore opportunities in collaborative research and development.
The prime objectives of the Conclave:
To provide a forum to present and discuss the role of key factors towards realizing India's potential in R&D and making it a hub of pharma and biotech innovation
To deliberate on best practices for promoting collaboration between academia, industry and clinicians
To discuss current state and capability building in different areas of technology, research and regulatory practices through scientific sessions
To deliberate on various schemes of government for promotion of R&D in pharma/ biotech sector
