International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) Summit 2011

Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) is organising 3rd International Conference on International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) on May 18, 2011, in Mumbai. The objective of this Summit is to discuss the notified Ind-AS and the Carve-outs from the perspective of different stake holders such as the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), National Advisory Committee on Accounting Standards (NACAS), the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and Indian Companies.

Other objectives of the Summit are:

Familiarise the audience with the impact of the Carve-outs on Indian companies
Discussion on how companies in India can choose the Carve-outs optimally to be compliant with Ind-AS and have minimum departure from IFRS issued by the IASB
Have a focused discussion around the issues and steps required to fully operationalize Ind-AS
Discussion on how reporting under Ind-AS will become business as usual for Indian companies and changes required in internal financial reporting framework and auditing process
Discussion on how Ind-AS will help Indian companies raise capital overseas
