Infrastructure Development as enabler for Investments & Growth

Infrastructure is the most important driver for growth and development of any state in today's era of globalisation and second generation reforms pushing inter-state competition for attracting investments.

Rajasthan is strategically situated as corridor between the wealthy northern and the prosperous western states of India which enables it to provide quick and low-cost access to the two largest consumer markets in the country and the upcoming Delhi - Mumbai Freight Corridor, if leveraged strategically, offers a unique opportunity as around 40 per cent of the proposed corridor is slated to pass through Rajasthan.

Urbanisation too is an important aspect of infrastructure and efforts are needed to invest in urban infrastructure covering various facets defining quality of life for its residents. There is a potential for public private partnerships (PPPs) to contribute to the infrastructure sector.
