Conference on Value Added Food Products

In the past ten years, India has left no stone unturned to ensure the growth of the Food Processing Industry in India. In the years to come, the Indian food and beverages market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 9 per cent and reach US$ 580 billion by 2013. Technology will play a vital role in processing, quality, supply chain management and logistics. There is a need for greater understanding of food processing operations for ensuring high quality and safety of foods as well as better utilization of existing technologies and adoption of new innovative technologies.

The second edition of FoodCon 2011 will be one of its kinds with the unique facilitations that will be provided as part of the conference for the B2B requirements of the delegates and much valued knowledge sharing from champions of industry and thought leaders from the government, industry and research institutions.

The objectives of the conference are:

To facilitate knowledge flow by working with organisations through bilateral/ multi-lateral cooperation mechanism to know the effects of high technology on food processing industry
Forging partnerships for collaborative research and product development with various stakeholders in food supply chain
Interacting with the Government to establish policy and standards to accelerate the growth of food processing led enterprises
